Another Way To Keep Myself in Check

Hello Blogspot,

My name is Kaitlyn.  I'm recently married, a first year music teacher, and I'm about 35 pounds overweight.  You might think that isn't a big deal, but to me-- it is tragic.  I weighed myself the week after my wedding and was awestruck.  I'd never weighed more than 140 pounds in my whole life--I was tipping the scales at 167.  For the past two months I have been working hard.  I just completed couch to 5k, I am using my fitness pal to keep a calorie track, and I just started T25.  I want to make myself better.  For myself, for my husband, for my students, and for my future children.  I cannot preach health and fitness to my students if I don't practice it myself.

The hardest part is keeping myself in check. I love to drink, I love to cook, I love to eat, I love french fries, and cakes and everything bad for you.  I've had to make adjustments and find shortcuts and ways to make my favorite recipes work for me.

I may post recipes from time to time, updates on my weight loss and hopefully one day a success story.  Wish me luck.

-Kaitlyn
